  • Failure is an Opportunity

Realize that failure is an opportunity for growth. It is not a definition of who you are. Every successful person has failed many, many times but they learned from it and continued to pursue their goal with a lesson learned. Laurie

  • Small Stuff

A Young Life leader of mine said, "Don't sweat the small stuff" with the obvious meaning of letting go of what you can, while focusing on what you must. Sometimes difficult to sort out, but good advice thru all stages of life.Mike

  • Find Your Passion

Find a passion and learn what it will take to contribute to the improvement or development of your passion.  Find opportunities to explore your passions.  While your passion may change as you get older, every experience leading up to your adult life will help to make you the best you can be. Don't be afraid to make mistakes. That's really the only way you learn. Good Luck.Evelyn C.

Learning to "play the game" in school is a vital lesson to learning to play the game at work.  Your teacher is not always right, they are not always fair but you will encounter many people like this along the way.  You need to figure out how to work with these people and postion yourself so you win (e.g. good grades for now - good reviews in the future).  You have to realize that sometimes you may have to do things for work that are not fun that no one else wants to do.
